Attention, peoples of both my friends-variety and those onlookers out there that witness my material! I have an announcement (if you couldn't tell from up above!)! As of this morning, my literature commissions are OPEN! The rules are simple:
I do not work until I get my respected Points payment (Until I get further info, I won't accept actual cash. Sorry, guys! Besides, paying in actual money's redundant as you ALREADY pay with money to get the points in the first place!), but when I do, I will do nearly any type of literary work involving the following:
FiM *But NO MOLESTIA! It's done to death, guys!*
Sonic *But no unnecessary roboticizing!*
Megaman
Pokemon
Yugioh *Varies, depending on what series you go with*
Crossovers are more than welcome!
Okay, now for the prices:
Short Fanfics/Crossovers: 50 Points each
Poems *varying*: 40 Points
Any large fanfic series you have going regardless of type: 160 Points
Now requests are open, but to friends only! Sorry, folks, but I can't just use my talents willy-nilly like that.
You won't regret the decision for choosing yours truly!
Sincerely, Dinoboygreen.
ShoPro, YOU SONNOVA BITCH!
Okay, normally, I ain't the type to go into rants, at least not on here. But this must be made inescapably clear: ShoPro has crossed the line I had always dreaded they would. I leave much of the context to the following video by a good man I watch over on Patreon. That's right, I actually pay for more than just design fees from my pal on here. But I digress; the TL;DR version is that ShoPro basically used a gambit that basically has the guy in question being sued by them for copyright infringement...and insisting on having him pay roughly thousands of dollars in yen for shit that should be Fair Use anyway. As for why I'm so angered by this, it requires a bit of context of my own. I. HATE! Companies that abuse their authority. ESPECIALLY toon IPs in western/eastern animation. They have no business judging the work of fans unless it's actually derogatory (which his work WASN'T, by the way. The worst he did was just make summarized videos about the Pokemon anime as he watched it.
Remembering my Grandmother
Ladies and gentlemen, I'm afraid a serious blow has been made to my family tree. This morning, my grandmother passed away due to a sudden and swift battle with the pandemic. For context, she was vaccinated, and did her damndest to avoid getting it. Unfortunately, she managed to catch one of the various mutations the virus has taken on due to us basically not giving a crap about how dangerous it really is. At first, she seemed to be doing okay; she had pneumonia from it, but was a hardy survivor. Sadly, this fight proved too much for her, and she died in the hospital, her husband by her side. This loss has hit both him and my mother worse of all, as by this point, the latter had been a part of her life either directly or indirectly for decades. As of now, they plan to bury her in Indiana, alongside her own grandparents. As for myself, while she could be stubborn about certain topics; in truth, I wasn't much better. And that aside, I owe a lot to her. She and my grandparents gave me
Pride Month Thoughts
Happy Pride Month, folks! I've always had a respect for the LGBTQ community, being both brave and clever enough to see the BS made by those who think it's some affront to nature. Feh, to hell with those kinds of wankers, I say. Plus, some of my favorite musicians and actors are as such; Nathan Lane, Elton John, the late Freddie Mercury, and so on. Hell, it's finally starting to be more positively shown in the entertainment industry, with shows like Steven Universe, Loud House, and Amphibia being among those to show it off in a way that doesn't come off as preachy or manipulative. Let's be real, it would have been easy to make it an afterschool special, but these are among those who do it right. Back on point, my final thoughts are that I continue to salute Pride Month's best and brightest, and may that rainbow flag wave tall and proud! :D
Personal Update
Hey everyone, your old pal dinoboygreen's got some new to tell. Firstly, to those worrying, the Duel Monsters series is not shut down, it's not even on hiatus due to card art. It's primarily due to my health. See, a couple weeks ago, around the twilight between March and April, I got pneumonia for the second time in the course of 2 years. To this day, I don't know whether to call that a coincidence or an omen. Anyway, because of this, I've been laid up from my usual duties. Oh sure, I do RPs due to their relative ease, and I have done some work on here when I've felt up to it, but that's why my output has been a tad sporadic. But rest assured, I ain't down and out, and I'll go through this like I did last year. Thanks for readin, and keep your eyes peeled, 'cause I'm far from gone or done!
